Finishes

Polished

This smooth and shiny effect brings out the natural colors, as its specific characteristics (veins, grain, others). It creates a completely suave surface, slippery when in contact with water.

Bush-hammered

This non-skid and rough finish is especially suitable for flooring and external cladding. It slightly cancels out the color of the materials.

Brushed

Non-skid, not smooth to the touch but is fully suitable for paving.
Semi-rough surface and proportionately softer than the sandblasted finishing. Reveals more of the original color of the material.

Sandblasted

Non-skid and semi-rugged, flat enough and also well suited for paving. This finishing is less rough than Brush-Hammered and more irregular to the touch than Brushed. It reveals the original color of the material.

Recommendations

Waterproofing with the proper products has been shown to be efficient in protecting and minimizing damage. Seek professional council in order to choose the right products.

The proper cleaning and stain removal procedures aren't may not be the same for every stone. In some cases, we recommend consulting a specialist.

Avoid contact with acid products that may affect the shine and finish of the stone. Permanent contact with liquids may erode severely the stone.

When using Brecha for kitchen counters, take special care when it comes to the surface treatment. These materials may easily absorb oils and substances. This can be solved by sealing the stone surface with the right products, which goes for any stone application in the kitchen.

In any case, it is extremely important to immediately remove any damaging substances that may come into contact with the surface of the stone.
